Online Research

Our lab conducts remote online research with infants and children (ages 0 months to 12 years) in the following countries: Canada, China, Ireland, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

In-Person Research

The CUDL Lab also conducts research with children and adults at local learning institutions and community spaces in Cambridge and other cities around the world.

Dr. Lauer will be accepting MPhil & PhD students for the 2026/2027 academic year through the University of Cambridge's Psychology & Education MPhil & PhD programmes. If you are interested in joining the lab as a doctoral student, please email Dr. Lauer with your CV and a brief description of your research interests.

Undergraduate students interested in pursuing graduate work in developmental psychology, social psychology, education, or cognitive science may volunteer in the CUDL lab as remote or in-person research assistants (RAs). As a volunteer RA, students assist with experimental design, collect data, perform data entry and coding, and aid in recruitment and outreach. RAs are asked to commit 6 hours/week for at least 2 terms, and may work remotely or in-person, depending on their location and interests. If you are interested in volunteering with us, please complete our RA application.

Dr. Lauer also supervises undergraduate student dissertations at Cambridge. If you are interested in completing your dissertation with Dr. Lauer, please email them directly.
